Reflections for Special Agent Thomas B. Shipman
Tom Shipman’s untimely death remains clouded in suspicion. He had just undertaken a health check. Passed with flying colours. He was President Kennedy’s regular driver. How does a loyal Secret Service Agent and trusted presidential driver die of a heart attack just a month before the tragedy that took place in Dallas? RIP Mr. Shipman.

In my earnest desire to give the utmost in memorial and respect to Mr. Shipman, it is my estimation that in doing research on him, his life, his excellence in his service to President John Kennedy, I feel if Mr. Shipman had lived, and served in his normal capacity as a Secret Service Agent-had he been in Dalls on November 22, 1963, I believe our beloved President would have LIVED ! Rest in peace honorable man and thank you for your service.

To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 50th anniversary of your death. I am privileged to leave a tribute to you. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.
