Patrolman Sheridan, it has been 86 years since you were taken from us. Reading the posts from your grandchildren and what your family has accomplished and done to serve our country and communities demonstrates more about what kind of man you are than a listing on a website. Congratulations on such a terrific legacy.
New England law enforcement has continued to thrive, learn and become safer due to the traditions and sacrifices you, your family, and many others have made for us. Thank you for your service.

Grampy I never got to meet you but was raised with the wonderful stories of who you were. You would have been so proud of your children, your sons who all served this country so bravely and went on to have families of their own, your daughters who raised fine families and took such wonderful care of Nana. You would have been amazed at your grandchildren and how much they have accomplished. Your service and sacrifice will never be forgotten. Rest in Peace until we may meet.

I've left two previous reflections. I don't check every day, but now and then I do and oddly enough, two particular names/departments suddenly stood out. You were one of them.
Nothing to add, I just wanted to acknowledge your sacrifice on the anniversary of that tragic event.
RIP and God Bless, Brother.

To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 76th anniversary year of your death. I am priviliged to leave a tribute to you. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.

Though the last reflection was left several months ago, I just now read it and for the first time put two and two together. I had the honor and pleasure of working with your Grandson and can truthfully say, you would be very proud of the cop he became. He was a colleague and later my supervisor and I always enjoyed working with him due to his knowledge, his sense of decency and his abilities. I cannot forgive the way he and others were treated, but he's doing well now and I'm glad for that.
It's not often I can truly make a connection with a fallen comrade, but now and then, the loss hits home, even if in an extended way.
May you continue to Rest in Peace, Brother.

This is my grandfather. We never got a chance to meet because of his great sacrifice for the rest of society.
My grandmother had to endure great hardships but was buoyed by vibrant sons who served valiantly in World War II and loving daughters who took care of her. As the decades pass our family has grown large. We do not see each other enough but all look to our grandparents as the core to a great family. I think of him every day as I put on my badge and pray for all of my colleagues as they go about their daily and dangerous jobs of protecting the public. His sacrifice will always live on with us....

No officer should be without a reflection. I send this one to thank you for giving the ultimate sacrifice and for paving the way for the future for us to follow, on the thin blue line. Thank you.
