Reflections for Patrolman Walter Senk
My name is Walter Senk. I am from Austria. If I google my name, there is always a picture of the patrolman Walter Senk. But this is not the only amazing thing. I am born 1962 and I was (only) driving motorcycles for 30 years!

I never knew my grandpa Walter. I was born 20 years after he died. My father, his son, died on February 22 2019. I wish I knew him. His older son Walter was killed in WWII. Today my father and Walter jr are both buried in a military cemetery in Melville NY. I think my grand father was a kind, generous person who loved his children. I’m 70 years old today and I wish I knew him. Thank you for remembering him. My dad was a NY city firefighter. They both gave back to their community I hope I meet him, my grandfather, someday. PS. I live in Charleston S.C.

I said a little prayer today for Patrolman Senk and his family. He may be gone but never forgotten. He will always be a New York HERO.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the eighty-first anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
