Dear Diane, As I searched all the deaths of the 1960's I'm convinced your uncle had b een my dad/s partner at one time. I would like to know when Stan had been assigned to the 11th precinct and the other officers who had been there. Are his children still living? There is a shop in Detroit that makes silver pendants with the police shield and badge number to wear on a chain. My dad died in 1994 but i'm sure he attended Stanley's funeral. It was so painful he never told us about it.

I too will never forget that knock on the door in the early morning and hearing the voices of the detectives telling my father of his brother's tragedy. You will always be remembered for your sweet and gentle nature and never forgotten Uncle Stan.
