I just found this site and am grateful for it. It is such a wonderful way to remember some of the best of our society, those who sacrifice for others, for people they may not even know.

Thank you to one of those men, my 3-times great uncle. Uncle August, we may never have met, but I am sincerely grateful for your service.

Time may have passed but you are not forgotten. I believe as long as someone remembers you or speaks your name, you are still with us.
Thank you for your heroism.
GOD Bless

I wanted to leave this reflection more for the great people that organize this site. I was very amazed to click on my great uncle's name and find the same photo that sits on my mantle, adorning the top of this page. This is a great tool for remembering our fallen heroes whether family, friend or complete stranger.

Thank you to all that serve and all those that remember the sacrifice of all those who have served.

To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 82nd anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.
