On today, the 60th anniversary of your death I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice-not just as a Law Enforcement Officer but for ur Country as well when you served with the U.S. Army during World War II. And to your Family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.

Thank you for your service and dedication to our country, Uncle Lawrence. I was 9 months old when you died, but my Mother adored you and named my brother after you in your honor. I have visited your grave and have often ponder on the sacrifice you made. 54 years have not diminished what you did.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 48th anniversary year of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service to my home state and the birthplace of my son. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
