My dear, sweet friend - today marks the 40th year you were taken from us. And know well, you are not, nor will ever be, forgotten.
All of my memories of our Academy Class 89 are full of you. We studied and celebrated small victories together, shared all our angst, you almost broke my nose trying to flip me, graduated side by side, had our first roll call together and remained best friends until you were taken.
I will never forget your charming smile, bubbly personality, nor your fearless attitude towards any evil.
I know I will see you in eternity where we will pick up where we left off.
Miss you - love you, my hero sister in blue.

Officer Schaefer, today marks the 36th year since you died doing the job. Thank you for your brief service. You are truly a hero.

God Bless you and may your eternal rest be ever peaceful.

On another note, the Officer who mistakenly took your life should be prayed for. A huge and terrifying mistake that took the life of a loving mother and wife and good Police Officer. Though no one could truly match the suffering of your loving family at home, no doubt he/she suffered greatly as well.

I met Kathleen in 1982 while working at the Harris County District Atty's office in the Police Intake division. Kathleen was beautiful, outgoing and I enjoyed the time I had getting to know her. I have thought of her often over the years, and after 33 years of emergency services she is a huge part of my PTSD healing. God bless your spirit sweet Kathleen, rest in peace! Bless and keep your.family always.
