Reflections for Police Officer William Sass
Rest in peace Officer Sass.
Rabbi Lewis S. Davis

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 85th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never dimishes respect, not even 85 years.
Rest In Peace

Officer Sass, even then traffic control was one of the most dangerous duties a police officer performed. Watch over us as we stand in harms way directing traffic around an accident or in construction when people pay little attention to their surroundings. A friend of mine was recently seriously injured while directing traffic. Keep us safe my friend

I have never met you, but I salute you. I am not a police officer yet, but hope to continue on in the footsteps of great men and women like you.
