While your assailants never faced justice they surely faced a higher justice at a later time in a different place. Thank you for your service and rest in peace always knowing that no passage of time will ever erase your heroic actions and sacrifice.

To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 91rst anniversary year of your death. I am priviliged to be among the first to leave a tribute to you. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.

Inspector Rumsey was my great uncle. His life and the life of my family have an interesting story in regards to the history of the U.S. Mexican border. A complicated history that I am researching and have recently published about.
My grandfather his brother in law was known in our family to have been a bootlegger.
Sincerely,
