My Grandpa (Melvin Thomas Renfro) was a suspect in Officer Rudisill's murder. My Aunt told me that it was Keith Jernigan that fired the weapon during the event that took Officer Rudisill's life, but knowing that my Grandpa was an accomplice to the robbery and subsequent death, is like having a dark family cloud that lingers over head. I realize history can't be changed, but please know that I have respect for Officer Rudisill.

An Irving, Tx police officer, Aubrey Hawkins, was killed in the line of duty Christmas Eve in the year 2000. The ring leader of the gang that killed him was executed Wednesday, Feb 29th this year for the murder. My father, Bobby Rudisill, was killed in the line of duty 3 days before Christmas when I was just over 3 years old. Officer Hawkins death so close to Christmas like my father's has always been tough. But the death of officer Hawkins's primary killer inspired me to send out a prayer to all families of fallen officers. Justice can be served

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 51rst anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.
I pray for solace for all those that love and remember you for I know both the pain and pride are forever.

Bobby was my uncle and there was never a more likeable person than he was. I am sorry to have lost him so young in life, but his memory lives on in my heart.
