Thank you for your service to our great of Louisiana. You nor your service will be forgotten. Time does not erase nor fill the void of the loss of loved ones. When teaching I would always speak of "fair weather " friends and "true blue" friends. Explaining that they (my students) could only truly count on those friends that were "true blue". Sir you were a "true blue" friend to all.....

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 98th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
