Deputy Marshal Ring,
On today, the 160th anniversary of your death I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for the citizens of Saginaw.

Your assailant may have never faced justice but he/she surely faced the highest justice possible at a different time in a different place. Rest in peace always and know that no passage of time will ever erase your service and sacrifice.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 145th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Rest In Peace

I was told when I was younger that this officer was known to a female relative at the time and he was a very devoted friend and officer who cared about the community. Also that he was stubborn but very compassionate in nature.
