Reflections for Patrolman Elmer I. Rich
Your heroism and service is honored today, the 85th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.
Rest In Peace.

Patrolman Rich - Three Fridays ago, on a very rainy morning, I stood in the State Assembly chambers when your name was one of almost 250 read off during a motion regarding next month's Peace Officers Memorial Week. You are not forgotten.
Thank you for your service to the people of the City of Denver and the State of Colorado.
May God grant you eternal rest and may His perpetual light shine upon you.

Officer Rich,
More than 80 years have past since you gave your life for the citizens of Denver. Your actions have not been forgotten.
Strange how the world has changed in twenty years, but the cost to keep our society safe has not. There are still men and women ready to do the job, and some still take the coward's way out.
Rest easy, you have done you duty.
