To My Grandfather,
Monday marks 100 years since your passing.
We, your many grandchildren never knew you however we heard the stories from our mothers on what a dedicated man you were to mankind.
You are not forgotten.

Time may have passed but you are not forgotten. I believe as long as someone remembers you or speaks your name, you are still with us.
Thank you for your heroism.

Office Reilly was my grandfather. When a police officer is kiled in the lien of duty, people never know
what a hardship this caused for my grandmother, even
though they collected money for her, and then it was
absconded by the Brewer's Bank in Mamaroneck, and
she lost her house. One of her children was burned in
an accident over 90 % of her body when she was a
young child.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 90th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Rest In Peace

I said a little prayer today for Police Officer Reilly and his family. He may be gone but never forgotten. He will always be a New York HERO.
