Grandpa, I never got to call you that or meet you, but I have heard about you all my life. Thank you for giving all you had in protecting others. Your life story began my life long passion in Genealogy. I have heard many stories from mom about hunting and fishing with you when she was young. Thank you for having been a fantastic father and husband and leaving all your family with the honor of being your family. You are surely in many hearts and on many minds.
Love, your granddaughter

To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 64th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.
