Jerry,
After all of these years I still miss you so much. I have always loved you and been so proud of you and the job that you did, which you loved and believed in so much. You were so full of life and passionate about everything that you did. Because of you I have carried on the law enforcement tradition in the family. I know that you would be pleased with this and would be proud of everyone because they grew up hearing all about you, your beliefs and values and you still live on.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 40th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service to my home state and the birthplace of my son. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Rest In Peace
