Reflections for Police Officer Edward Anthony Rea
I was a witness to this terrible tragedy. I was only 16, driving home from rabbit hunting up north. My 3 friends and I still talk about it at times. Only 27 with 2 children. So sad. Hard to believe it was 55 years ago now.

Anthony was my cousin but I never knew him growing up in Detroit as my Mama did not drive was devorced and was an Entrepreneur of her own eaterys and we worked 7 days a week. Every time I pass his building in Warren named after Anthony I get goosebumps. I hope one day we will meet in heaven,

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 43rd anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.
I pray for solace for all those that love and remember you for I know both the pain and pride are forever. Your family is in my heart's embrace today. Thanks to your friend for sharing his memories and devotion to you through his reflection.
Rest In Peace.
