You gave all 11 days after my birth, you were my uncle and even though I never met you, I met your sons, both of them served as police officers and were military veterans. They were my roll models especially Gerry who was always teasing and playing with me as a child. I served in Criminal just for over 33 years, yup have inspired generations and generations to come. I was told you made a point of being at the school crossing before and after school, because it was "the most important job the badge does" so I made a point to do the same as often as I could!Rest in peace uncle, others will carry on! To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. I am privileged to pay tribute to you. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 47th anniversary year of your death.

Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.

Rest In Peace.
