Reflections for Sheriff Alexander Ramsey
Through researching my family name, I came across this thread. My maiden name is Ramsey and I have a black and white photo of an ancestor with a badge. Great Great grandfather, if I'm correct. Hoping to find out if this was Alexander Ramsey.

I believe I am a descendant of sheriff ramsey. I am a Rose but the men in my family carry Ramsey as a middle name. But my dad told me about a famous lawman who was our ancestor. I think he is the lawman dad told me of. Would like to know more.

Time may have passed but you are not forgotten. I believe as long as someone remembers you or speaks your name, you are still with us.
Thank you for your heroism.
GOD Bless

Your heroism and service is honored today, the one hundred and thirty-fourth anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.
Rest In Peace.
