Time may have passed but you are not forgotten. I believe as long as someone remembers you or speaks your name, you are still with us.
Thank you for your heroism.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 73rd anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. I am sure that you are proud that your family has continued your legacy of protecting and serving with you as their inspiration.

Rest In Peace.

Grandfather - well, I did it ! I made Assistant Chief of Police ! It was quite the journey but worth it so far. The last time I wrote , I had been promoted to Sgt., and that was quite the experience in and of itself. I've had a good run grandpa amd I hope your proud. I'm doing the very best I can and I try to be honest and fair in every task I undertake - something I know you did when you were patroling the city ! Please keep an eye on me and keep me safe and never let me forget where I came from and who I am and what family I represent. I miss you - keep watch over me !

TO MY GRANDFATHER SGT. FREDERICK RABE Your only grandson did not carry on in police tradition but I continued in your love for the Fire Service , your first public service job in 1900 in which you received $12.00 per month. I have spent 30 years service in what was my love.

You would be glad to know your greatgranson who was named Frederick in honor of you is working hard to become an NYS Trooper. He will carry on the tradition.

Sergeant Rabe,

You are extremely honorable. Thank you for your dedicated service and being one of the chosen few to walk the path of the warrior. We will not forget you.
You'll be proud to know your Great Grandson wears Police Sergeant stripes, and is covering your post on the thin blue line. (Congratulations Michael). With brotherly love and respect, Jim Crotty (Former Richmond, VA Police Officer).

Sgt. Frederick Rabe was my great-grandfather, and both my brother and I are extremely proud of his accomplishments. I was recently promoted to Sergeant myself, and all I could think of was my Grandfather while the Sergeants Badge was pinned to my uniform. I hope you are proud of me Grandfather, I try to make you proud each day i go to work.. Your great-grandson, Michael
