Reflections for Patrolman VanBuren Quarles
Great Grandpa, I finally found you. Even though I never got to meet you, I know you led a great life, and made the ultimate sacrifice. I want to let you know your great grandaughter followed in your foot steps of service as a Colorado State Trooper. May you rest in peace. I have the watch.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 69th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.
Rest In Peace.
