Family, Friends & Fellow Officers Remember...

O God of Peace, so many of America’s Peace Officers who are on the front lines to protect us never make it back home to their families. We pray for these fallen law enforcement officers, Lord God, who gave their lives for us. We pray for the families of these heroes, who have to now endure life without their loved one. Lord God, society tries to move forward, but there is always bloodshed occurring. We approach Your throne of glory and grace to beg of You for peace. Lord God, bring peace to this land – the United States of America. We plead for Your divine intervention to quiet our hearts and unify our communities. Stop the violence that occurs amid our cities. We thank You for all America’s Peace Officers who have died protecting us, and ask that You send an everlasting peace so that America’s Peace Officers on the streets may be safe and return home to their loved ones at the end of their assigned shifts. In Christ Jesus, Your blessed Son, I pray. Amen.

There were so many family gathering i remember and you were always laughing and having a good time. You gave your all to protect this city for us to live. I will always remember the times i had to spend with you. We all knew the risks you dad and Uncle Steve took and we understood. I know where ever your at your on some lake fishing. We miss you and will see you soon.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 23rd anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. I pray for solace for all those who love and miss you for I know both the pain and pride are forever. Tasha, you are in my heart's embrace today.

Dad, I Love you so very much! And though I miss you every second,of everyday. I was born into Law Enforcement. I knew the job & the risks. And I knew that you pinned your Badge to your heart. Always a Police officer, Always to protect and serve. You did the Job Dad! And you were the best Dad to me.
I will always grieve your loss. But I'm so proud of you! For the Man you were. Things you taught me. And that you are remembered by those who knew you. I'm very proud to be your Daughter. And from me too you. Where ever you are, I pray the fish are always biting!

Officer Pyscher was one of a kind, I remember him and my father teasing me all the time at Baker station, I was only a kid but my Dad and Frank would always play with me, it is because of them that I am pursuing my dream today, I lost one hero in '89 and the other in '92 but because of them I have never forgot my dream, I miss you Frank, but you and "Baker 21" are patrolling heaven and have helped giving me my principles. God bless all of you, and above all else, Thank You and rest in peace sir.

"The Badge"
He starts his shift each day
To respond to calls unknown.
He drives a marked patrol car.
A police officer he is known.
He's paid by the citizens' taxes
To make it safe on the streets.
But he usually has a second job
'Cause a waitress has his salary beat.
Now he doesn't know a holiday
'Cause he works all year round.
And when Thanksgiving and Christmas finally arrive
At his home he cannot be found.
He's cursed and assaulted often,
The one whos blood runs blue.
He seldom ever gets a thanks,
To some he's just a fool.
His friends are always other cops
'Cause people just don't understand
That underneath his badge and gun,
He's just another man.
He knows there might not be a tomorrow
In this world of drugs and crime.
And he gets so mad at the court system
'Cause the crooks don't get any time.
And each day when he leaves for work,
He prays to God above.
Please bring me home after my shift
So I can see the ones I love.
But tonight he stops a speeding car,
He's alone down this ole' highway.
It's just a little traffic infraction.
He does it everyday.
Well, he walks up to the driver's window,
And his badge is shining bright.
He asked the guy for a driver's license,
When a shot rang through the night.
Yes, the bullet hit its mark,
Striking the officer in the chest.
But the Department's budget didn't buy
Each officer a bullet-proof vest.
So he lay on the ground bleeding.
His blood wasn't blue - His blood was red.
And briefly he thought of his loved ones
'Cause in a moment the officer was dead.
In the news they told the story
Of how this officer had died.
And some who listened cared less,
But those who loved him cried.
Well, they buried him in uniform
With his badge pinned on his chest.
He even had his revolver,
He died doing his best.
