Reflections for Patrolman Joseph Lloyd Price
I was 11 when our family lost you. Our lives changed forever that day. Your parents were inconsolable. Your brothers and sister had looks of sorrow on their faces that made them almost unrecognizable. My Mother, your Aunt, and our Uncle L.B., who would in later years share the date of your death, were both beyond devastated. It was the first time I had ever witnessed our Grandparents sobbing. Michelle, your sweet, beautiful wife, was completely lost. Her soul was crying out for you, as the tears streamed down her cheeks. We miss you now, as we missed you then. Much love to you, BB. You truly are our Hero.

It was today we got the call... just days after our family Thanksgiving, so many years ago. All the holidays, birthdays, special events in life we never shared because you didn't come home from that watch. Our prayers go out today to all the families of fallen officers. The loss is beyond comprehension. We'll see you later, BB.

This is my husbands oldest brother. He was very young when his brother was murdered, but the family is still impacted greatly by such an act. I wish I could have met you Joe.. Rest in Peace.

My father was the other patrolman. He has mourned "Joe" every day of his life for the last 44 years. Officer Price has not been forgotten. Not by this family.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 44th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

I was out with your killer on a remove property call. I asked him why he took your life and he said, he shot the wrong man. I told him every time police are out with him, we will remind him we know his crime! He said he wishes he could take your place. I do too! Rest in peace brother!

I stopped one of your killers in the early 80's. He had not changed and should not have been out of jail. Rest easy, we got him sent back for awhile.
