Dear Officer Pijanowski, You were the grandfather I never knew, my mother's father, and my grandmother's first husband. I heard stories of your heroics from the time I was a young boy, but never saw proof until today. You contributions to our family's legacy are a source of great pride. Grandmother gave me two nightsticks, which you used on your rounds that will be passed on to your great-grandchildren.
Thank you for your service.
