I remember the night you were murdered; I was a young officer working in a jail. The sheriff's office I worked for and retired from, refused to have our badges draped in your honor. Shame on that organization!
God rest your soul.

I did a ride along with a Morrow Officer sometime in 1995. I saw this young mans photo on the wall of the PD and remembered thinking how young he was. (I was only 20 at the time) I have always kept this young face in mind over the years. Rest easy brother.

To the family, friends and colleagues of HERO Officer Jeffrey Manning Phegley: I mailed my No Parole letter today, on his behalf.
I am very sorry for your loss of such a young man! It’s so unfair that you have to keep reliving your pain, with each new parole board hearing.
To Officer Phegley: Thank You for your service and sacrifice. You are not forgotten!
God Bless You All!

We attended the Norwood Police Academy together. As I prepare for retirement, I pulled out our old class photo. I wept the day you were killed and shed a tear now thinking of you and your family. I know the Lord took you under his arm and have made you the perfect guardian angel. Till we all meet again.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 25th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never dimishes respect and you will always be honored and revered. I pray for solace for all those who love and miss you for I know both the pain and pride are forever.
Rest In Peace
