Reflections for Constable Donald Francis Adams
Constable Adams, it has been 97 years since you were taken from us. New England law enforcement has continued to thrive, learn and become safer due to the traditions and sacrifices you, your family, and many others have made for us. Thank you for your 3 years of law enforcement service.

Constable Adams, your legacy lives on this week. As we do each year, a volley was fired by the Chelmsford Police Honor Guard at your burial site to commentate “Police Week.” It is a true honor to be part of this tradition which will continue forever. Thank you for your service.

To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 86th anniversary year of your death. I am priviliged to be among the first to leave a tribute to you. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace

Constable Adams,
Today marks the 80th anniversary of your untimely and tragic death. I visit the ODMP often, but purposely today to honor your gallant service to the community of Chelmsford. I learned of your heroism through a story published today in The Lowell (Massachusetts)Sun. Your daughter Mildred still lives in Chelmsford and was featured in the story of your dedication and sacrafice. Rest in peace sir, and thank you for your service.

Constable Adams, today marks the 80 anniversary of your murder. I trust the individual who did it faced true justice, if not in this life, then in the next. You have not been forgotten and my thanks go out to you for your service to the Commonwealth.
God Bless and may you continue to Rest in Peace, Brother.
My thanks also go out to the street car operator who subdued the lowlife who killed Constable Adams. Though his name seems to have been lost to time and he is probably long gone himself, he is also, truly a hero. God Bless him as well.
