I visited the museum in Loveland a couple of years ago and was so moved by Frank's story that I wrote this song

I am the Great Granddaughter of Marshal Frank Peak. I grew up with his daughter, Edna (Peak) Barager as my best-loved Grandma. She was five when she lost her dad. I have heard many stories about the impact of that day. I feel particularly blessed to have spent most mornings before school visiting my Great Grandma Nellie Peak (Frank’s wife) and her sister who she lived with, Rachel Howard (we called her Auntie) and brother-in-law, Albert Howard (Uncle). I was very close to them growing up and attribute my spirit of perseverance, determination, and love for God to be directly related. I saw my Great Grandfather’s name in 1996 on the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial when I visited WA DC in 1996. He left an impact that day and has not been forgotten. I imagine the day I will meet him for the first time in heaven and hope he can be proud of his legacy.

My name is Bart Bartholomew and I represent the American Legion Post 15 in Loveland, CO. I am also a former Colorado State Trooper from the Loveland Area. I am planning on doing a American Legion presentation at the July 13, 2015 Memorial Celebration for Marshall Peak. If any one of Marshall Peaks family members would like to contact me, I would enjoy that. I am looking to see if Marshall Peak had severed in an military organization.

Marshal Frank Peak was my grandfather. I never knew him of course, but his name lives on. One of my grandsons is named Frank Peak in his honor as well as one of my nephews. Marshal Peak did his duty and paid the ultimate price. RIP

He was my grandmother's dad. She was 5 when he died. The family still talks about his death, nearly 99 years ago. Still many
unanswered questions. May he rest in peace.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 95th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.

Rest In Peace.

Marshal Peak - Two Fridays ago, I stood in the State Assembly hall when they voted on a motion in regards to next month's Peace Officers Memorial week. Your name was one of the almost 250 read off. Thank you for your service to the people of Loveland and the State of Colorado. You are not forgotten. May God Grant you eternal rest and may His perpetual light shine upon you.

Marshal Peak:
93 years have passed since you were taken from your family and your community. Thank you for your service to the people of Loveland. Although the cowards who ambushed you have never been brought to justice, neither you nor your sacrifice has ever been forgotten. You are in the hearts and minds of every LPD Officer. As you rest peacefully in God’s arms, know that your community is safe and well protected by the warriors who walk in your footsteps.
