Deputy Sheriff Owen,
On today, the 60th anniversary of your death I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice-not just as a Law Enforcement Officer but for our Country as well when you served with the USN during WW II and the Korean War. And to your Family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 48th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Your sacrifice was made so many years ago. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace

Deputy Owen, may you rest in Peace. I remember very well the
night of the accident, I was in High School and later went on to work for El Dorado County Sheriff and The City of South Lake Tahoe Police Department. May God Bless you, brother of the badge, may you rest in peace.
