Tony and my dad were on duty that night....my dad was stationed at at a drug store somewhere around Warren Avenue awaiting the man who robbed drug stores. How fortunate I am that the robber went to Tony's store, and how sad I am that he went to Tony's.

I used to go to his house and play games with his daughters. I lived on Crown Avenue, and his family lived up around Tilden Avenue, or in that area.

Tony was a very kind and conciderate officer...one to be proud of.

RIP, Tony.

To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 71rst anniversary year of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace

Tony was my Great Uncle, I wish I could have known him. He was a father figure to my Dad, since my Dad's father passed away when he was only three months old. My Dad told us stories over the years about what an extraordinary man Tony was and how he was forever grateful to all the help Tony gave him and his Mother. My Dad was 13 at the time of Tony's death, and it was a huge loss for his family and friends. My Dad passed away several years ago, I hope they were finally reunited.
