Rest In Peace now My Brother:
Your Death will not go unoticed, or for no cause.
You protected us in the Job you choose.
And we now after all these years can still remember you.
I was only 13 at the time of the Riots but yet was old enough to know what death was, and what crime was, as well as Fear.
I was expecting my First Baby by an Officer who was Gunned down after the Riots.
I was lost and couldn't believe the Type of pain comes along with Love.
To This Day I am a woman who is still trying and Dedicated to make it safe out there for all officers as well as Our K9's and Firemen.
We need to rebuild and fix up this city.
I am a Business owner and I still Live near Detroit.
I all my Life have worn a Police Badge around my Neck for all you officers Everywhere.
This is My Cross in my Pocket to you all out there.
No Your Death was not in Vain.
And will we here in Detroit will never forget The Lives that This Riot in 1967 had Changed Forever.
God Bless us all this 4th of July 2002.
Stay Safe and God Bless you all Everywhere.
Who Protects Us from the evil in this world.
Love From Sunshine
A great guy. Great sense of humor.
