Reflections for Town Marshal Jack O'Leary
Dear Patrolman O'Leary,
My name is Mason. I'm the son of a PCSO lieutenant. I wish to join The RCPD when I grow up. I want you to know your sacrifice is not forgotten. You are remembered still. You're still a brother in blue. I hope your with god, sir. Just know, the RCPD pushes on in your name.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 86th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Marshal O’Leary, what a remarkable man you must have been. To have lost both hands and an eye AND your hearing but still able to serve the people of Rapid City for all of 41 years. On this 80th anniversary of your sad death due to the negligence of another, I applaud your service and mourn you passing.. You were and are still, proof that those who may be handicapped, are not necessarily disabled.
God Bless and may you continue to Rest in Peace, Brother.
