Reflections for Deputy James Robert Allman
Just a poem for those who wish to understand a mothers love a little better:
MOMA'S TOUCH
I touched your face...I stroked your hair
I kissed your eyes as you lay quietly there
My memories were of your cradle and all the pain and joy
Of the birth and love of my little boy
And I touched your face and stroked your hair
And kissed your eyes as you lay quietly there
When heaven was opened and God gave you a wife
I knew you would marry for the rest of your life
And She kissed your cheek and stroked your hair
As you shared the love while you stood happily there
Then came the babies with even more love
To fulfill a promise with gifts from above
I kissed their cheeks and I stroked their hair
They made me so proud as they lay softly there
My heart jumbed for joy as your badge was pinned on
And you committed to service as I knew you would all along
And I touched your face and stroked your hair
And kissed your cheek as your stood proudly there
Now the time has come to say my goodbye
Oh my sweet....sweet child I could almost dye
I look down at your face...Can't stop touching your hair
I don't want to leave you as you lay quietly there
The pain of your going will never erase
The joy I'll remember of our first embrace
So I'll touch your face and stroke your hair
And kiss you...this last time..As you lay quietly there

James was one of the good guys. Worked with him when he assisted in IAD. I remember how excited he was to first skydive.

James,
What happened to you has forever changed my life. I have become very close to your father and mother and have grown to love them. Having been there with you that night has allowed me to give some comfort to them. I get to see James II often and I promise that I will never let him forget you. You were so young and brave, I am sorry that there was nothing that we could do. Thank you for having been my friend.
