On today, the 75th anniversary of your death I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for the citizens of New Orleans. And to your Family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.

I recently learned that George was my Great Uncle. I am sad that our family never got to know you. It brings me peace that in April 1980 my Grandfather James was able to reunite with you in heaven. I am proud to know I had an Uncle who served and protected our beautiful city. Thank you Uncle George.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 67th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
