The wicked flee where no man pursueth, but the righteous are bold as a lion
Proverbs 28:1
Uncle Bill, the stories of how you lived your life were told often in my family as I grew up. I did not realize the significance of your sacrifice until I was older and I can say this knowledge has made an indelible mark on my life. Thank you for the life you lived. Your watch is over. May you rest unforgotten and in eternal peace.

Your heroism and service is honored today on the 93rd anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service.

My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

My biggest sympathy goes out to Det. Woodhead and to all slain law enforcement officers in the nation. My brother is a officer in the RPD and i think about him and the job he's doing everyday. It takes the biggest heart to put your life at risk for those who you do not know. God bless
