Sergeant Clarence Nordyke was killed when his car struck a bridge on Texas Highway 67 near Mertzon during a heavy rain storm at 7:15 a.m.
Sergeant Nordyke had served with the Texas Department of Public Safety - Texas Rangers for 13 years and previously served as the Sheriff and Deputy Sheriff at the Callahan County Sheriff's Office. He was survived by his wife, son, and brother.

I am 72 years old and live in Austin, Texas. I often visit his place of Death going to a trial. And of course going to Ranger Company B Station.
