John W. Morrison

Deputy Marshal Morrison was shot and killed by three robbery suspects in Sasakwa City, Oklahoma. The three suspects shot and killed Special Deputy Marshal L.P. Dixon two days later during a search for the men. The three were apprehended after murdering Special Deputy Marshal Dixon.

Two were charged with the murder of Deputy Marshal Morrison. One was convicted of manslaughter and sentenced to five years. The third suspect was charged with murdering Marshal Dixon. He was convicted of manslaughter and sentenced to two years.
