Police Officer Jesse Jackson was killed when the patrol car he was in was forced off the road by a vehicle he was pursuing.

The patrol left the roadway and overturned in a pond, trapping him inside.

Officer Jackson was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was survived by his wife and daughter.
