Trooper Davidson Whiting was killed when a van jumped a median barrier and struck his patrol car head-on on Route 128 in Lexington.

Trooper Whiting was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and had served with the Massachusetts State Police for two years. He was survived by his wife.
