Marc A. Perse

Sergeant Marc Perse was killed when he fell 90 feet from a repelling tower during training for the Special Operations Response Team.

He and other instructors were preparing for a class they were teaching at the United States Air Force Academy when he fell from the climbing tower in the fieldhouse.

Sergeant Perse had served with the Colorado Department of Corrections for 3-1/2 years and was assigned to the Territorial Correctional Facility. He was survived by his wife.

On today, the 30th anniversary of your death I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for the citizens of the state of Colorado. And to your Family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy. There is no tougher job in Law Enforcement than that of a Corrections Officer.
