Frederick H. Hull

Police Officer Frederick Hull was shot and killed after responding to a report of an assault at a local tavern.

The subject had left the tavern and walked to a service station where he worked at 19th Avenue and East Madison Street. The man locked himself in a restroom at the service station when officers attempted to question him about the assault. Officer Hull and his partner ordered the man out but the man began firing a handgun through the door of the restroom, killing Officer Hull and wounding his partner. His partner was able to return fire killing the suspect.

Officer Hull had served with the Seattle Police Department for 18 years.
