My wife is a Federal Agent- Police Officer with the U.S. TVA Police. My parents retired from TVA. I listened to your "Moment of Remembrance" over the TVA dispatch this morning. Thank you, sir, for your service and sacrifice.
You answered the call when your nation needed you most, serving with honor in World War II's vast, unforgiving waters. You stood watch over liberty, defending the ideals that make this nation great. When the war ended, your service did not. You took up the badge, vowing to protect and serve with the same dedication that carried you through the tides of war.
You lived with honor, and he died in duty, a sentinel to the end. Though your watch has ended, your legacy will not fade. It will echo in the hearts of those you protected, in the lives you touched, and in the spirit of those of us who follow your example of selflessness and sacrifice.
Your mission is complete. We have the watch now.
Rest in peace.
