Adolfo was my next door neighbor. I was 12 years old at the time of his death. He was a kind man, and my father was his same age and liked him very much.

Heard the news on my Mom's car radio when on the way to our Little League game that afternoon. Very sad, as he had two small children, and had not lived in the home for very long.

I was visiting from Arizona today and noticed the memorial with his name and that of the other fallen CHP officer on Highway 680. Though it was nearly 50 years ago, I still remember him, and am glad he is not forgotten.
