Investigator Earl Harrouff was killed in an automobile crash on U.S. Route 69 approximately 2-1/2 miles south of Cameron, Missouri, at about 4:00 pm.
He had started to pass a truck when an approaching car forced him to cut sharply in front of the truck. His car clipped the truck and overturned, killing Investigator Harrouff and injuring the other investigator.
Investigator Harrouff was a U.S. Army veteran of WWI and WWII. He was survived by his wife, stepdaughter, brother, and father.
