View all 22 ReflectionsAlthough I was only 4 years old when Dennie was taken from all that loved him, I still remember playing in his police cruiser and the attention he would give me when I was around. Thank God I can’t remember that tragic day and all the heartache afterwards. I was honored to accompany my Aunt Martha to DC back in the 80’s and find his name on the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial…something I will never forget. I’ve always felt a connection to him through the years. 15 years after EOW on November 22nd, my first daughter was born. Today, she serves as a HPD Officer. Must be God’s plan for her to honor him and for him to watch over her.
