I'm a retired Sergeant, after supervising at the 13th pct and the 1st pct in the Wall Street area of Manhattan. During my 20 years on the job, I grieved every time we lost a cop during a violent confrontation on the street. The Dwyer family has been put through h#(( after losing Anthony, and then more h#(( during the trial. Now, they're being put through a grinder again whenever the murderer wins an appeal for a new trial. Cop-killers should remain in prison for life, if not executed. That's because, when a cop is murdered, it's an attack on the entire system of justice. When the criminals believe they can murder the symbols of law-enforcement with impunity, no one is safe.
