My mom who is 91 years young can still remember being in the car with her brother & father (Mack Toner) & driving by the accident. My grandfather got out of the car & asked the other cops if he could assist & was told of the tragedy. My mom told me it really ruined Christmas for the whole family. From the information I could gather the department was short handed because of the war & officer Chamberlain was asked to work on a day off when the incident occurred. Officer Chamberlain never made it home that day or any other day. Officer Chamberlain was doing his job, on his day off making the world safer for all of us when he was taken at a young age. May god bless the Chamberlain family & I hope the they know he will never be forgotten. Godspeed my motor brother RIP
