View all 4 ReflectionsIf I were asked to describe Mark in one word, unquestionably that word would be selfless. Both his dedication to his position with STP and his love for the fire service were a small part of love and service he had for others. Knowing Mark over the years before he decided to join STP I came to realize why he would be a perfect candidate for the position. It wasn’t the WHAT, it was the WHY that mattered to Mark. It wasn’t the hours or the pay or the benefits that he would received that mattered to Mark. It was the service he would be able to give to others. Mark wanted to be a part of making the world a safer place for his wife and three girls. Not only his family though, he wanted to make it safer for our families as well. Most importantly Mark loved God. Mark never had to tell you he was a Christian. You heard it in the way he talked and saw it in the way he carried himself every day. In talking with Brandie and hearing how great he was to her and the girls, every father can only hope their daughter meets their own Mark Reynolds someday.
