Dear Jamieson,

Your family misses you so much. Every day our lives remain turned upside down without you. We miss your laughter, infectious smile, kindness, jovial moments, and spontaneous sense of adventure, but most of all, we miss hearing your voice and having you present. Life has been so hard without you around. The tears should be a conduit to heaven. You have no idea how difficult life is. Words alone cannot express the emptiness in my life, the hole in my heart the void that exists without you. You were so dedicated to your profession, successful at everything you did, and valued as a road patrol officer and 1LT. We still receive messages from strangers who talk about your acts of kindness and the incredible things you did to keep strangers on the right track; from saving their lives and visiting them in the hospital, to buying the homeless food and their dog food. You were an earth angel, Jamieson. We have listened to the body cam of you rescuing the gentleman who jumped into the river. You were dynamic on these life-saving calls. Without hesitation, you instructed everyone around you on how to best get the job done and how to keep the gentleman alive. You outperformed and you were so humble about all of this. All I can say today, day one of a new year without you, is I will never stop saying your name, and I will do my best to make sure everyone remembers you, your kindness, and your love for life. I cannot wait to see you again. I love you forever, I like you for always, as long as I'm living, my baby you'll be.
