I never knew you personally, however my agency participated with closing off the highway for your transport to the funeral. As an Air Force veteran, with the same time in service on the streets here in Colorado as you, this one hurt. I saluted you as you were brought past our exits and felt this in my soul. You died a warriors death and as I would’ve wanted and many like us, died serving your people. I wear you on my wrist and every time I have a beer you cheers me. Greater love hath no man than to lay down his life for his friends, you lived this and paid it. You’re never forgotten, rest easy and watch over us and your family.
