John S. Selock

Patrolman John Selock succumbed to injuries sustained two days earlier when his motorcycle struck a parked car on Philip Street as he pursued a speeding vehicle.

He had pursued the vehicle into the city of Detroit when he struck the car on Philip Street. He was taken to Henry Ford Hospital with severe injuries. He remained in the hospital until passing away.

Patrolman Selock was survived by his parents and four siblings.
